American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Dallas is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Dallas peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My mom and I had such a great time here. The two girls working were incredibly sweet, gave delicious recommendations, and provided amazing customer service. They were so down-to-earth and made the whole visit memorable. I hope the new ownership realizes that the staff's individuality and welcoming personalities are what make this pie shop greatโplease take good care of your employees and let them be themselves, because they are the reason customers keep coming back for the delicious pies they are working hard to bake.

The store smelled like dirty dish rags/dirty mop water. I don't know why, but I was expecting big pies in a case. It was very small. I was the only customer. The thing is the pie was delicious. It was smaller slices than I had pictured based on looking at the website. It tasted homemade and fresh. I had the Lord of the pies and Drunkin nut. I would recommend owners work on the smell inside. If I had not been recommend to go here I probably would have walked out and not given it a chance.

You know, sometimes you just want dessert. My friend and I stopped by near closing. Regardless, the staff served us our pie quickly and professionally. They had some unique flavors. I enjoyed my slice a lot. If you enjoyed pie and want something a little outside the box. This place won't disappoint.

My husband and I shared: - Dapper Apple / Lord of the Pies - Muffin Man - Drunken Nut I couldn't pick a favorite between the apple and blueberry pies. They were both fantastic. The pecan pie wasn't my favorite, but that's true in general (we got it for my husband). I'm usually more of a cobbler person than a pie person, but this place is fantastic. It's a must try in Dallas!

These were very good, however a tad bit expensive. Not sure if I should expect to pay just about 20 bucks for two pieces of pie or not, however it was a bit more than what we were thinking. The pie was very good, but we might not go back due to the price. But maybe if you were a big pie person you would find it worth it.
